Hello, my name is Marnie, my areas of expertise include working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. I also have extensive experience supporting individuals on the autism spectrum and deeply value neurodiversity-affirming care. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. My professional work is strongly informed by both my clinical training and my personal understanding of mental health challenges, which allows me to offer compassionate, relatable, and practical support.
I knew from the age of 16 that I wanted to become a therapist and help others navigate their mental health journeys. After spending 19 years as a stay-at-home parent, I chose to fulfill that lifelong dream by returning to school at age 45 to earn my Master’s degree in Social Work. This path has shaped my belief that growth, healing, and meaningful change are possible at any stage of life.
I am deeply passionate about my work and utilize evidence-based practices tailored to each individual’s needs. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, trauma-informed care, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, strengths-based approaches, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical, with a strong focus on building skills that clients can use in everyday life.
Having lived in Massachusetts most of my life, I recently relocated to sunny Florida. I am here to help you develop effective tools to manage symptoms, improve communication and social skills, build confidence, and advocate for your needs. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and empowering space where you feel understood and supported on your path toward greater well-being.
